Beijing Taiwan Street: Cultural & Commercial Hub with Authentic Taiwanese Flair

As one of Beijing’s key特色 commercial streets, the name of this street was personally inscribed by the Honorary Chairman of the Kuomintang (KMT). The architectural design adopts a new Chinese classical style, blending with the surrounding landscape, including the street’s arcades and inner alley villages. The commercial area features a mixed-use model, bringing together high-end Taiwanese local dining, themed restaurants, snack stalls, celebrity stores, large coffee-themed shops, indigenous lifestyle stores, craft workshops, and more. The street is an authentic representation of Taiwanese culture and offers a variety of experiences.

The project, located in the core area of Beijing’s CRD (Capital Recreation District), is surrounded by large residential communities, government offices, and headquarters of major enterprises. The south side faces Lugu Road, and the west side borders Lugu East Street. The street is conveniently accessible via a nearby subway station, making it easy to visit. The area stands as a significant point for urban vitality and regional development in the western part of Beijing.

Beijing Taiwan Street is a truly cultural gem, with historical significance reflected in the names inscribed by several notable Taiwanese political figures. For example, the KMT Honorary Chairman personally wrote the street name, while the KMT Chairman, Mr. Lien Chan, named “Han Sheng Alley” after a Taiwanese historical figure, and Taiwan’s People First Party Chairman, Mr. James Soong, wrote “Yushan Pavilion”. Furthermore, a replica of the famous Wu Feng Linjia Wugui Building was constructed, with its name inscribed by the influential scholar Liang Qichao.
