“Founded in 1948, Qingfeng Baozi Shop was originally located in the southeast corner of Xidan, Beijing, facing north and south. At first, it was an ordinary small restaurant, only because of the authentic taste of the buns, and after the public-private partnership in 1956, it specialized in buns.
Qingfeng Bun Shop
In 1976, the name was officially changed to “Qingfeng Baozi Shop,” which specialized in buns and fried liver. Due to its high quality and Chinese dietary habits, it naturally became a famous fast-food brand recognized by the people of Beijing.
In 1999, the famous calligrapher Xu Baitao wrote a plaque for “Qingfeng Baozi Shop.”
In 1999, due to the municipal construction of Xidan Avenue, Qingfeng Baozi Shop was demolished and relocated and reopened in Xi’an Gate in the same year.
On August 8, 2018, representatives of the four shareholders, including Beijing Huatian Catering Group Company, Financial Street Capital Operation Center, Shanghai Fosun Hi-Tech (Group) Co., Ltd. and Employee Shareholding Platform, signed the shareholders’ agreement of Beijing Qingfeng Food and Beverage Management Company Limited on Beijing Equity Exchange, which marked the basic completion of the mixed ownership reform of Qingfeng. Beijing Qingfeng Catering Management Co., Ltd. raised a total of more than 92 million yuan through this capital increase.
